Benton Central vs. Lafayette Central Catholic Selected as WLFI TV18’s Friday Night Frenzy Game of the Week Oxford, IN — October 7, 2025 — WLFI TV18 has announced that this Friday night’s varsity football matchup between Benton Central and Lafayette Central Catholic has been chosen as the Friday Night Frenzy Game of the Week. WLFI’s popular Friday Night Frenzy segment will spotlight the Bison throughout the week with special features and live game-day coverage: 🎥 Practice Feature & Player Interviews: WLFI will visit Benton Central’s football practice midweek to film a Game of the Week preview and interview Head Coach Andy Standifer along with select players. The segment will air during Thursday night’s WLFI sportscast. 📺 Live Pregame Broadcast: On Friday evening, WLFI will broadcast its Friday Night Frenzy Pregame Show live from Lafayette Central Catholic at 6:20 PM. The station welcomes all Benton Central students, cheerleaders, parents, and fans to gather behind the broadcast crew “College GameDay–style” to show their Bison pride on live television. Fans are encouraged to bring signs, wear green and gold, and make plenty of noise for the Bison. 🏈 Coach’s Corner Appearance: If Benton Central secures the win, Coach Standifer will appear on WLFI’s Friday Night Frenzy Coach’s Corner segment live at 11:15 PM in the WLFI studio. Benton Central Athletic Director Jared Hall shared his enthusiasm for the recognition, stating, “It’s an honor to be featured as WLFI’s Game of the Week.
