Oxford, IN – June 5, 2025 Benton Central is proud to announce that several of our Special Olympic athletes will be competing in the 2025 Indiana Special Olympics State Games, held this weekend at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. These athletes have demonstrated exceptional dedication, sportsmanship, and perseverance throughout the season, and now they’ll have the opportunity to showcase their talents at the state level among hundreds of athletes from across Indiana. “This is a moment of great pride for our school and community,” said Athletic Director Jared Hall. “Our athletes have worked hard, supported one another, and embraced every challenge with determination and enthusiasm. We couldn’t be more excited to cheer them on as they represent Benton Central.” Events at the State Games include track and field, bocce, swimming, and more. Our students have been training alongside coaches, support staff, and volunteers who have dedicated countless hours to preparing for this unforgettable weekend.
