Benton Central’s Bella Widmer Exemplifies Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Community Impact

Oxford, IN -- May 19, 2025 Benton Central Junior Bella Widmer continues to set the bar high as a standout student-athlete and servant leader. With a 4.06 GPA and a flawless academic record, Bella has earned membership in the Council for Academic Excellence, the National Honor Society, and the Spanish National Honor Society. She has remained a consistent member of the 4.0 GPA Club since her freshman year. A key contributor to Benton Central’s varsity volleyball team, Bella leads as team captain the high school volleyball team and plays libero/defensive specialist for The Academy Boiler Juniors. Her leadership extends beyond the court as she serves as a Class of 2026 Representative and plays an active role in school-wide initiatives, including the Junior Prom and After Prom Committees, and the Homecoming Committee. Bella’s impact doesn’t stop at school. She co-owns Widmer Kids Sweet Corn LLC with her siblings, where she plays an active role in all aspects of the business—from planting and harvesting to sales and bookkeeping. She also supports her family’s agricultural enterprises through Widmer Farms LLC and Widmer Transport LLC, gaining hands-on experience in everything from equipment maintenance to data management. In addition to her entrepreneurial and academic pursuits, Bella is passionate about service. She mentors younger athletes through the school’s volleyball camp and actively supports causes such as the Otterbein Elementary Backpack Program, Benton County Cancer Awareness Bake Sale, and Helping Hands. She is also involved in CAAP (Community Activism Awareness Program) and SODA (Student Organ Donation Advocates), further underscoring her commitment to making a difference. With her diverse achievements, unwavering dedication, and leadership both on and off the court, Bella Widmer is a model representative of Benton Central and a shining example of what it means to be a student-athlete.
