FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE After two days of rain delays forced the postponement of the Hoosier Conference Girls Tennis Tournament at Logansport HS, the tournament was finally completed on Saturday, May 9th, with Benton Central High School crowned as the 2026 Hoosier Conference Champion. The championship marks the first Hoosier Conference Girls Tennis Tournament title in school history for Benton Central, making the achievement even more special for the Lady Bison program. Benton Central delivered an outstanding performance across the lineup, earning four individual championships and multiple All-Conference honors on their way to the historic conference title. Leading the way for the Lady Bison were: 1 Singles: Violet Hardebeck — 1st Place, All-Conference 2 Singles: Emma Hinds — 1st Place, All-Conference 3 Singles: Taryn Klemme — 1st Place, All-Conference 1 Doubles: Olivia Hardebeck & Skyler Smith — 1st Place, All-Conference 2 Doubles: Rayna Werner & Kara Schieler — 4th Place Despite the challenging weather conditions and schedule interruptions throughout the week, the Lady Bison remained focused and resilient, finishing the tournament in championship fashion. The historic conference championship highlights the dedication, perseverance, and hard work displayed by the Benton Central student-athletes and coaching staff throughout the season and adds another memorable accomplishment to the proud tradition of Benton Central High School athletics.
