FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Yadon Commits to UIndy Volleyball Program Oxford, IN – Benton Central junior standout McKenna Yadon has announced her verbal commitment to continue her academic and athletic career at University of Indianapolis, where she will join the Greyhounds Volleyball program as a member of the 2027 recruiting class. Yadon, who has been recruited as a Libero/Defensive Specialist, has established herself as one of the top multi-sport athletes in the state of Indiana. A 1st Team All-State selection in both volleyball and basketball, she also earned recognition as a 2025 Indiana Junior All-Star. During the 2025 volleyball season, Yadon recorded 97 sets, 233 kills, 2 assists, 29 digs, and 32 blocks, demonstrating her versatility and impact across the court. Yadon plans to pursue a degree in the health sciences field while attending UIndy. She cited the strong culture and family-oriented atmosphere within the program, along with its commitment to success, as key factors in her decision. “I really loved how family-oriented the program is and how driven they are to build a winning culture,” Yadon shared. She will play under the direction of head coach Haley Case, who continues to build a competitive and respected program within the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Yadon is the fourth Benton Central volleyball player from the 2025 IHSAA Class 2A State Runner-Up team to commit to play at the collegiate level. She joins teammates Cali Foster (‘26, Western Kentucky University), Bella Widmer (‘26, University of Texas at El Paso), and Ella Miller (‘27, Morehead State University). “McKenna is an exceptional student-athlete who represents everything we value in Benton Central Athletics,” said Athletic Director Jared Hall. “Her work ethic, leadership, and competitiveness set her apart. We are incredibly proud of her and excited to see her continue her success at the next level.” Yadon becomes the latest Bison to advance to collegiate athletics, continuing a strong tradition of excellence at Benton Central.
